Discovered two APIs today; IPODSERVICELib and IPODMANAGERLib.
Nice of Apple to give us a COM interface to the iPod database, for free.
I shall now wrap that in a nice C# candy shell and have my filthy way with it. More later…
PS – Here’s a hint for anyone else who wants to get into the iPod.
iPodManagerClass ipod = new IPODSERVICELib.iPodManagerClass();
ipod.Login(4);
I got questioned briefly by an officer at the 30th Street post office in Philadelphia, PA yesterday. I was at the south entry way, taking photos of a nice tiled mosaic dome, as well as some other Deco architectural elements.
From my right, I heard “Can I help you, Sir?” I lowered my camera, turned and said, “Sure, what’s up?”
He said to me, “Well, you can’t take photographs in the post office, without permission from the postmaster.”
Me: “Oh, I had no idea. I just really like all these old buildings, especially the ones with Deco architectural elements.”
Him: “Yeah, we get architectural students from Penn down here all the time.”
Me: “Oh, really.. how do they go about getting the required permission? Is there a phone number to call, or a form to fill out?”
Him: “I’m not sure, but you could come in during the week and ask at the main information desk and they could tell you.”
Me: “Ok, thanks.”
Anyway, I wandered around the building some more, because I was waiting for my friend to mail a package to France. I found the “rules” printed on some 8.5×11 sheets on a bulletin board. I would have taken a picture of them, but, well… I thought better of it.
